Memorable Moments
Mother nature creates wondrous events in the early hours of the day when the sun is about to rise.
Not unlike the beauty of an early summer sunrise, fall mornings can present an equally memorable moment created by cool air, still warm water, and favorable atmospheric conditions.
You just need to be there at the right time to capture the event.
Patience is also required. Atmospheric events like these evolve with the rise of the sun, changes in temperature, and the presence of, or lack of, wind.
Sometimes it’s just wait, watch, and be ready.
Such is the case with these two photographs taken at Lake Massabesic in NH.
I would pass this lake frequently while traveling to a regional office of the company I was working for. While those trips would take place at various hours of the day, many times there were early morning meetings that would bring me by this location as the sun was about to rise.
It was good timing and being most fortunate to capture these scenes.
